Cord works fine.
Compact charger cable
From Tommy Smith of Brandon, Mississippi on .
This is the perfect charging cable to carry on my electric motorcycle. The dual voltage allows me options for charging when traveling in places where no charging stations are available. The compact size and light weight makes this the perfect cable for any application.
This is the only UL listed home charger
From Pingyu Nao of Seattle, Washington on .
Safety of my home, and also my car, is important to me. UL certifies devices for safe operation within their parameters, so I only buy UL listed appliances.
This cost a little more than others, but doesn't pull more amperage than my breaker and wiring is designed for, and is compact enough to take with me.
Great product.

Quick Service
From Thomas Goetzman of West Salem, Wisconsin on .
Despite the warnings on the website about delays, charge cord shipped the next day and arrived in only 2 days. Really nice since our OEM charge cord had died, and we dislike using gasoline for daily local trips. Unit worked perfectly and we couldn't happier.
Works As Expected
From Anonymous of Jefferson City, Missouri on .
I have only used the 110 plug, it adds about 12% overnight. Since I use between 10% and 15% per day this keeps me full. Unit feels sturdy and not cheaply made.
A Little Bulky, but Convenient
From Julian Riordan of Woodland Hills, California on .
I purchased this solely because of the dual voltage option, only to find the vehicle I purchased came with a dual voltage charger as well (previous owner upgraded). The transformer is a little bulky, and I had a fairly tough time finding a cover for it. Unfortunately I was unable to find a clear cover with the proper depth, but I still was able to get one. Other than the size of the transformer I have no issues with it. I knew it wasn't going to charge as fast as a higher amperage rated charger, but it's still far more efficient than the standard level one that came with my wife's car.
Works perfectly!
From Rob W of Highlands Ranch, Colorado on .
I was concerned about shipping time because of supply chain issues, but the charger arrived in 2 days! The Webasto is the same quality as the OEM charger. It charges my Harley-Davidson LiveWire ONE motorcycle as expected. The longer cable makes is much easier to reach anywhere in my garage.
Good charge cord
From Ron Butterfield of Graham, North Carolina on .
It works. The cord _seemed_ short, but when I measured it, it was the 20 ft. advertised.
I don't like that you have to use the adapter for 220V. It would seem to me to be more efficient having the charger native 220V, and use the adapter for 110V.
The vehicle plug fits properly into the charge socket.
I haven't had it long enough to comment on durability.
Anyway, it does charge much faster than the factory supplied 110V cable.
Works perfectly.

Arrived. Worked perfectly. UL certified!! Works well with our Kia EV6!! Well made!
Great portable charger
From Brian Simms of Arvada, Colorado on .
This charger is great for low-voltage (120V) trickle charging, which is generally all we need. The 240V is a nice option to have for faster charging, and the whole package is easy to coil up and take with us as needed. This definitely gets the job done!

I just received this little dual 120/240 charger and so far I'm very satisfied. I used it for my Santa Fe hybrid plug-in 2022 and charging to 100% it cuts the time to about 5 hours (on 240V/16A) instead of 11 hours with the original Hyundai charger.

I purchased this cable and have had it for about a year. Great product. It is very rugged and has lasted one Canadian winter. Compact and comes with a carrying case that is sleek and doesn't take up a lot of space in the trunk. 240V plug attachment is also very handy for a residential plug I installed at home. Definitely recommend this product!
Without peer for features and price
From Anonymous of San Jose, California on .
Bought a TurboCord and I am happy with it. Its carrying bag fits into my 2017 Volt's small side cargo compartment. It was half the price of buying another Chevy charging cord. And it has both 240V as well as 120V capability, unlike my Chevy cord.

From Carlin of Sherwood Park, Alberta on .
This cord seems to be well-made and tough. I've used it in -20°C, and the cord stays flexible. It doesn't have the bulky built-in cord-winder that the GM cable has, which for me is a plus. I've only used it for 120V so far, but it charges my Chevy Volt just as fast as the GM cord.
I don't know why it's in the neighbourhood of $500 though - maybe once mass-marketing kicks in there will be cables like this at Canadian Tire for $30.
It arrived on time and in good order. I would recommend.

This cord is the best combination of efficient and practical for charging our C-MAX. Our electrician felt the same way. Made the most sense to us both. Works extremely well.
lost the suitcase
From Anonymous of sacramento, California on .
The "portable" EVCS that shipped with the car is furthest from being sleek. There's a reason why the manufacturer gives you a suitcase to carry it,and the two cord sets for L1,and L2 charging. If you didn't have a rescue tool, and needed to rescue someone from their car, along with the strength to do so.My charger could be used to break a windshield. I should have picked up a TurbCord well before now.Like others,I hope AV releases some "standard" NEMA adaptors like the one used with dryers, 14-30.
Great product, a little pricey.
From Tony of San Clemente, California on .
The TurboCord Dual really increases the versatility of my 2017 Chevy Volt. I have replaced the factory charge cable with the TurboCord because it is very compact and can be used at home or my office where I have installed 240V outlets. I can also use it anywhere else there is a 120V outlet that I have access to. In 240V mode I can charge my
Volt in about 4 hours which enables me to get more use out of it as a fully electric vehicle. The TurboCord appears to be a high quality product, but I have only had it for a month so I really don't know how durable it will be. I do think the $600 price tag is a little high for this product it doesn't seem like it should cost that much.

Nice Charger; Needs More Adapter Options
From Anonymous of St. Cloud, Minnesota on .
The DualCord is nice, but not versatile enough for travel. I would like to see AeroVironment offer approved adapter cords for more common 240v receptacles like a L6-20R, L6-30R or even a 14-50R, I have yet to find a 6-20R n my travels. Most hotels and restaurants that I have visited have a L6-20R or L6-30R. Many RV parks also have a 14-50R. I would rate the Dual Cord a 5-star if the adapter cords were offered as accessories. The 110v is simply an overnight backup, but not practical for a 2.5 stopover.

I like how compact it is compared to others
Least bulky charger
From Anonymous of Alpena, Michigan on .
So much better than the stock charger that came with my Volt. It is less bulky and you don't have to worry about the base swinging near the receptacle when you plug it in. No mounting bracket required and very portable. just wind it up and put it in the bag when you're done. The only downside is that it can't plug into a NEMA 14-30 or 14-50 receptacle. I'd figure making an adapter for that should have been pretty simple. Just need to limit the current to what the cord is rated for.
Great product
From Anonymous of San Diego, California on .
If you do not have a level one charger, and your budget for a level 2 charger is around the cost of this product, I highly recommend purchasing this one, since you have the option of using it on both a 240V or a 120V outlet. Which can come in handy if you are visiting someone who may not have a proper 240V outlet. We shopped around, and this company had the best price on this particular product (Feb. of 2016)
Also, the feature of the light giving you the charging status is very convenient and easy to see (it is about the size of nickel and plenty bright).
TurboCord Dual 240/120v

Very convenient. Can be used at charging stations wherever they are provided by stores, etc. Can be used where 240V outlets are not available as when traveling.
Awesome charger for indoor use
From Martin of Joliette, Quebec on .
This charger is amazing. I use it for my Ford Focus Electric and it really charges in 7 hours as stated on the website. I can also plug it in 120v, so it is useful when I have to travel in remote area and need a few more miles to come back. The shipping was quick and the product arrived as expected.
However, it should be sold with the outdoor cover kit. Without this cover kit, it is so easy to be stolen. My electrician also had to hack an outlet, because without the cover kit, it is impossible to install it in regular 240v outlets. I don't understand why I couldn't find the option to buy the turbocord 120/240 with the cover kit on this website. It seems to be only sold with the 240v charger.

1 year in - works great!
From Shawn Anderson of San Francisco, California on .
Over one year now of very regular use with my Chevy Spark. No problems whatsoever. durable, reliable and super versatile. Just had a 240V socket put on my second home. An electrician can do this for << $300. Now, I use just the one cord for both plugins.
It's important to locate the outlet in an out of the way but physically "close" place. The plug and outlet due stick out a bit. Mine is in the corner of the garage, unlikely to ever get bumped but close enough to 2 of the three spaces that I can charge without an issue.
So happy I went with TurboCord !
Little GEM
From Fred Behning of Austin, Texas on .
This unit is a little gem. Pricey to be sure, but works flawlessly on my Nissan Leaf (expected) as well as my DIY conversion with rudimentary J1772 (surprise).
With a short conversion cable, will work at any 220 volt source like dryer plugs or RV parks. Add 110 volt support and it really opens up the field for charging away from home.
See the write up on my conversion project blog at: http://evtd.blogspot.com/2015/06/new-toy.html
Great charging cord

Cord arrived promptly. Seems well built. Have been using it for the last few days and I have no concerns at this point. Love the fact that it can be either 120 or 240. Instantly on a ready to use when plugged in. Better than my OEM cord that I had to replace after 18 months of use.

From Anonymous of Fridley, Minnesota on .
The Turbo Cord has cut my Charging Time in Half for my 2012 Volt. Probably to be expected since it is being used as a Level 2 Charger. It is compact, much smaller than the Charger than comes standard with the Volt, and appears to be exactly as stated by its Developers. Yes, I would recommend it to other Electric Car Users.
Toyota Plug in Prius
From Anonymous of Ontario, California on .
The Charger that came in the Trunk, I have used 3 times. 2 at home overnight and 1 time in Mexico, where there was only 120V available.
It has a bulky Power supply, and recommended by the mfg to have level when charging. The cord is too long and is 6-8 lbs heavier than the TurboCord.
I bought the Prius Oct 27 2014 and have 6,600 miles on it already. My favorite things are $350 less Gas per month, $20 higher Electric Bill & I use the 240 charging most of the time, so 2 hours Max to charge.

The Best!
From Tom of Cumming, Georgia on .
This just does as it says. It's nothing fancy. In fact, it's plain and simple. Plug it into a 240 volt outlet and walk away and you're ready to go in about a third of the time of the little level I charger that came with my new 2015 Nissan LEAF S. If I had to make a complaint, it would be the cost. But I can't complain too much since I talked my Nissan dealer into including the TurboCord as part of the deal when I bought my new LEAF.

From Israel of Fort Worth, Texas on .
So far it charges my C-Max Energi in 2+ hours, but it does not do a full charge as my 120 charger cable that came with the car. It only charges to 18, whereas my original cable charges to 24-25. Any thoughts?
Mostly great
From Anonymous of San Quentin, California on .
I bought this TurboCord for my just-purchased used Leaf, and it works great -- with one caveat -- the clip that holds the 220V plug adaptor to the main, 110V plug, fell off and my contractor stepped on it and broke it. The good news is that TurboCord has replacements and offered to send me one. The bad news is that the design could use improvement -- maybe something with an extender plus a hinge, so the two parts can't fall apart and nothing could get lost/broken?
This product is a much better, less expensive solution than the charging stations, since I can carry it with me or leave it at home.

Nissan LEAF owner. Cord is trivial to install. I hijacked an old 40-amp breaker (we used to have an electric range) and mounted a 620R receptacle right next to the panel in the garage. I leave the TurboCord plugged in and carry the original trickle charge cord with me. I'll load it in the car for longer trips.
Great Charging System

The Turbo-Cord Dual 240v/120v works as expected. We purchased this charging cord because it can be used with both 120v and 240v outlets. Great Buy
From Michael Lenczynski of Secane, Pennsylvania on .
Bought to supplement the electric vehicle connection port that came with vehicle. Great idea to make one unit to replace both portable and home units.
At home, nice to have convenient access to rapid charging. Home location will only support a very small area (6 inch square) to attach a unit for charging, with no space for a cord to be stored while not in use. Also, by being removable, it prevents someone from charging their vehicle at my expense when my vehicle is not at my parking spot.
On a recent trip to a RV campground, it was nice and easy to use the electric hookups from the120 volt line to allow day trips without the use of any fuel for local excursions.

The 220 charger really cuts down on charge times, and I like the fact that you can use it with 110 also so you don't have to carry around a different charger. Seems to be excellent quality and so far has worked as advertised. My only complaints are the price and that it will tend to work its way out of the plug fairly easily. I would definitely recommend it!
Perfect for Ford Energi
From John Jester of Westerville, Ohio on .
110v overnight charging was OK for most trips to work. But when needing to go back out the same day, 110v charging is too slow to make a difference. Had an electrician install the NEMA 6-20 240 VAC outlet and cut our charge time in half. Excellent quality product and lower cost that a normal fill size EV charger which we didn't really need since the Energi cannot charge any faster. This cord and solution was perfect.

Does What is Says
From Anonymous of Valley Center, California on .
The Stage 1 charge cord that came with the Volt required 12+ hours for a full charge. The TurboCord does a full charge in 3.5 hours. I explored other options and there are more powerful options for the same price but the Volt charger cannot digest more juice than that provided by the TurboCord anyway and the other charge cords required installation which could cost more than the charge cord. We happen to have two NEMA 6-20 outlets in our garage so it was perfect for us.
The TurboCord appears to be well made with solid materials.
Simply Happy
From Matthew Bergum of Columbus, Ohio on .
I researched, I found TurboCord, I was skeptical about the quality, or ability to do what it claimed for the price. Once I received it, I plugged it into my 2011 Volt and my 10 hour charge was knocked down to 4 hours...and the cord is still portable and will work with 110v or 220v as needed. I am VERY happy with how simple this solution is and the hardware seems well built.

Fine product
From Patrick Jeanson of Les Cedres, Quebec on .
The delivery was quick. Product received in perfect order, nicely packaged. I pluged in my 240V outlet, plugged in my Chevy Volt,. She bleeped with satisfaction. The cord turned to flashing blue. The pistol feels sturdy and robust. After the normal charging delay, the car was fully charged. The turbo cord head is lukewarm during charge which seems very normal to me.
One thing I might do is to instal a kind of rubber band to make sure the head stays fully inserted in the outlet as it has a slight tendency to get out due to the cable weight. My outlet is at rougly 6ft from ground. I don't want kids to fiddle with a 240V 20Amps outlet..
So in a nutshell, this product is very good and I recommend to all Chevy volt owner.
All you need is a 240V Outlet!
From Anonymous of Indianapolis, Indiana on .
Proud owner of a new 2014 C-Max Energi... 325 miles and the Fuel Gauge reads full and currently 128.2 MPge. Fantastic having the Dual Turbocord in 20 Amp as I only needed to plug it into my 240V outlet I installed for my compressor on 30 Amp service. I really enjoy the ability to run out on the weekend ad come home and re-charge to full in less than an hour on 240 versus a half charge after 3 hours at a friend's house on the 120 charger included with the car.
I love there is a space in the rear under the floor board to store when traveling. It will be great to have the option of 120V or 240 V recharging when outlet is available.
Thanks to the Turbocord, I really do not need to spend a $1,000 to install a 40 Amp service on a separate metered line plus the purchase a 30 Amp Charger; just to save a few cents per KW hour.
I really appreciate this products availability.
The best choice for plug-in hybrids
From Anonymous of Yakima, Washington on .
This little charger has made all the difference. I have a plug-in hybrid and I’m able to fully recharge my battery in a fraction of the time as compared to the factory supplied 120v charger. The TurboCord is significantly smaller than the 120v charger that came with my vehicle, seems much more solid and doesn’t run as hot.
My electrician had no issue installing that 20a 240v NEMA 6-20 outlet in my garage near my vehicle, and the installation was quite inexpensive. The outlet is small and unassuming compared to the larger dryer/stove outlets you need when you install 30 amp or higher L2 vehicle chargers and opt to plug them in rather than hard wire them. The NEMA 6-20 outlet is small and unassuming and is flush mounted with my garage wall, just like any other outlet.
The charger has a quality feel to it in spite of its diminutive size. It also includes LED status lights, which provide more than sufficient indication as to the status of the charger and what it is doing. A steady blue LED means plugged in and powered. A flashing blue LED indicates that the vehicle is charging. A red indicator would illuminate if there were an electrical issue. I’ve never seen the red LED.
The TurboCord comes with a wall mounted cable bracket, for looping up your cable and connector when not in use, and with a carrying sack so that you can take the TurboCord with you.
All in all, the TurboCord is the most elegant L2 charging solution available, especially for PHEV drivers.

240 is faster!
From David of Portland, Oregon on .
I haven't yet run the battery all the way down, but my car's "time to recharge" estimates are typically reported as over eight hours at 110 and less than two hours at 240. That makes it possible to run errands all day, recharge during dinner, and be ready to go back out for the evening, something I couldn't have done with the factory-provided 110 system.
The TurboCord was EXPENSIVE, but its easy portability (especially compared to a similarly priced hard-wired system installed at home) will surely keep me happy over the years with the return on my investment.
Only the price drops my rating below five stars. I'd give it four and a half, though, if I could.
Excellent product!
From Dale D. of Santa Cruz, California on .
We wanted an extra cord for our C-Max Energi, so we could plug in when traveling. Decided on the Turbocord, which now our main cord in the garage, having run a 220 V line and NEMA 6-20 plug to the area near where the car is parked. The Ford original sits in the TurboCord case in the car. It's great to be able to charge quickly via the 220 V power, and to have a cord in the car for those places where level 2 charging is not available. This was a much more affordable option to other 220V home charging stations, gives us much greater flexibility...and so far, it works flawlessly!

This is a quality constructed product that impressed my licensed electrician and me. Would definitely purchase again. 😃😃😃😃😃

Best Charger for the Money
From Anonymous of Georgetown, Kentucky on .
I was thrilled the first time I charged my Ford Fusion Energi with the TurboCord. I had to buy an extension cord and an adapter to change my wired plug to a NEMA 6-20, but once that was accomplished, OMG it charged my car in just a little over 2 hours from empty!! In my opinion, this is absolutely the best deal on a level 2 charger ever! I have friends who have placed level 2 chargers in their garages, and the materials alone were in excess of $1,000, not to mention labor together it installed. $600 is not too much to pay for the convenience of portable level 2 charging.
Highly recommended Turbo Charger 240 volt
From B Fine of St. Peters, Missouri on .
Just got my new 240 volt Turbo Charger today and on the very first charge, it charged my Ford Fusion Energi in 2 hours and 10 minutes. This is excellent, compared to the 7 hour charge with a 120 volt charger. This will save lot of money in the long run.

TurboCord lives up to hype
From Anonymous of Scotts Valley, California on .
If you are looking for a portable and versatile charging unit for your EV, then the TurboCord is for you. As per the stated specs, using 240 volts it charges my Chevy Volt in 3 hours starting from a completely drained state. The dual 120/240 capability makes it especially useful if you find yourself with only access to a 120 volt outlet. The portability of the unit is so good you could easily store it under the seat of most vehicles, making it easy to get in and out of the vehicle. The one thing I would recommend for future versions of this cord is to add another 5-10 feet. In driveway situations where two cars must be parked back to back, that amount of extra length would eliminate the need to park the EV closest to the charging outlet. Otherwise, great product and worth the money.

Turbo Cord EN FRANCAIS !!!
From Michel Gelinas of Montreal, Quebec on .
Bonjour,

TurboCord Best EV Charger
From Tony Brncich of New Lenox, Illinois on .
I have researched many charging solutions for my Chevy Volt. Voltec is the unit that GM pushes but it is a permanently mounted 220v (Level2) only solution. ClipperCreek LCS-25P has many mixed reviews and is also a 220v only solution that is huge. It became very clear to me when I found TurboCord Dual, that it is the only logical solution. I purchased the TuborCord, installed wires for 220v, change the receptacle to a NEMA 6-20R, and charged my Volt fully in less than 3 hours. I now can charge in-between short trips much faster and have the flexibility to use 110v in seconds when needed. I have not used any gasoline for my Volt since I purchased TurboCord Dual. I told my Chevy dealer they need to sell TuborCord in the parts department or tell customers to visit www.turbocord.com Thank you for a great product!

Awesome dual L1/L2 for Chevy Volt
From Anonymous of Tallahassee, Florida on .
TurboCord is compact and works well. Easily plugs into a 6-20R (240volt receptacle) for 3 times faster charging than 120v. Turbocord supplies maximum amps allowed for a generation 1 Volt. TurboCord can go with car, or me if I move residences (unlike a hard wired L2 EVSE). Downside is high cost, about $600 when I bought. AeroVironment knows they have a great product and are milking it until some competition comes along.
Excellent charger for my Volt!
From Brad Turock of Hillsborough, New Jersey on .
I really love this charger. I ordered the dual-mode 110/220 charger and it's actually lighter than the 110 charger that came with the car! Also, I've used a few other 220 chargers (borrowed from friends) and the end that you plug into the car was always tight to slide on. This thing just glides right on. For the price and convenience (and charging speed) this is the must-have charger for a Volt. I'm really happy I bought it.

Versatile Time Saver
From CNG Utah of OREM, Utah on .
We're a used car dealer specializing in clean air vehicles. We've been selling CNG cars for over 7 years and now we're getting into Electric Vehicles. We immediately found that the recharge time with the standard 120v cord is way too long. We saw the Dual Voltage Aerovironment TurboCord charger and it made so much sense. We are using it to charge our fleet of Chevy Volts and Nissan Leafs. Our experience is that 240v charges about 3 times faster than 120v and is using less kwh to fully charge the vehicles. Being able to quickly top off the charge on a car allows us to have the cars always available for test drives. We're recommending the TurboCord to all EV enthusiasts. Very satisfied customer.
It works!
From Daniel Bort of Richmond, California on .
We've only had it a short time, but we are completely pleased with its performance so far. The only downside to the product is its cost. How can something that simple cost (including taxes and shipping) over $700? I assume competition will eventually lower the price, but I feel more than a little foolish for having paid that much. It won't pay for itself for years.

Compact and Functional
From Dave_A of San Mateo, California on .
So far, I have successfully used the TurboCord at level-1 to charge a Volt, RAV4 EV, and Tesla Roadster (with adapter). Although, I plan to use it at level-2 at a later date, the ability to also use level-1 allowed for these reassuring compatibility tests. The TurboCord is impressively compact and there was enough extra space in the carrying to case to include a NEMA 6-20 extension cord.
The NEMA adapter, however, is awkward to attach and detach. It is easy to get confused about how to handle the sliding clip and one needs to be careful not to damage or lose it. Removing the adapter requires some rocking, which is hindered by the shape, until it can be pulled off. With more practice, perhaps, I can do it as smoothly as in the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buCbA7JUB6A
Works like a charm
From Craig Reardon of Agoura Hills, California on .
Received the TurboCord in a nice package. It came with nice, simple (but pertinent) instructions. I deliberately ordered the TurboCord, in the dual mode (110/220A) option, so that its arrival would coincide with a) the installation of an appropriate dedicated 220 outlet/receptacle in my garage, and b) the acquisition of my first electric car!-- in my case the Fiat 500e. I leased the car three days ago---I already love it!---and after the first joy ride home, I plugged in the TurboCord, first to my new 220 outlet/receptacle; and then, I plugged the business end into the receptacle in the Fiat 500e. The TurboCord immediately coupled with the car and the blue light indicator on the TurboCord (at the receptacle end) began to pulse, which is the sign that it's charging the vehicle's battery. Potential users should know that although it takes a relatively compact 6-odd hours to completely recharge the battery (in my Fiat), it takes a lot LESS time if the battery in the car is not all the way run down. In fact, after a reasonably long toodle around the area where I live the other day, I found at the end of the day I was able to recharge the car's battery in less than only two hours! I love the TurboCord! It also comes with a neat wall mountable plastic bracket that can be used to coil the cord and hang it on the wall out of the way. It's a great and viable alternative to having a permanently mounted charging station, even though the latter may charge a little quicker--though AeroVironment also makes a clever station which can also be unplugged and taken with you! It's great to have options. Needless to add (?), the TurboCord can certainly be taken with you, too, if you expect to overnight at a friend's, e.g. I found out that AeroVironment is also the official manufacturer of the charging station recommended by (and badged by) Fiat for their 500e. You can't go wrong.
So Far, So Good
From Mark Sass of Cincinnati, Ohio on .
Performs as promised and couldn't be easier to use. But the big caveat...I've only had it for about two weeks. I hope Aerovironment asks for feedback regularly. Having gone through two Voltec charging stations in 18 months, my concern is not with how well these things work shortly after they're installed but rather, how they hold up over time. I'm hoping for better luck with the TurboCord.
Good portable charger
From Josh of Fort Worth, Texas on .
Got the Turbocord because I wanted a portable charger that was actually portable for charging away from home. Using my standard Volt charger with extension cord was really awkward and extension cords are a bit of a no no. I've only used Turbocord once yet, and only for 120 volt charging, but it is so much smaller and easier to plug in than the mess I was dealing with before and probably safer. The cable is nice and long. I am very happy.
Don't know when I will be able to use 240 volt charging. The NEMA 6-20 it is designed for is not very common, so you sort of have to specifically set up an outlet for it. Kind of wish there was an adapter set for different plug types. Still, don't know of any other level 2 charger that is so portable.
No regrets on the purchase.
Best choice for Volt Owners
From Kenneth Rowland of Arlington, Virginia on .
For Volt owners, this is the best choice. Your Volt is internally restricted so that it can only charge at the 16 amps put out by this cord. Getting a bigger capacity cord is a waste, unless you have another vehicle that can use it's capacity. You just need an outlet installed and you are ready to go!
BTW - Charging in less than 3 hours with a L2 charger is exponentially better than waiting for 10 hours on the L1 (120 volt) charger that comes with your car, especially on those nights that you get home late and need the car early the next day.
Great price, portable, and just right for the job for you Volt owners.

From Kenneth of Lancaster, California on .
It is portable. It is faster than standard 110 cord even using 110. It is just as quick as level two for a Ford Fusion Energi at 2.5 hours. Turbo Cord rocks. It gives us another way to charge without install of a level two just a standard 220 plug. The big plus is it is portable!
It gives you the freedom to come home for a quick recharge, then go out again for dinner driving in EV Mode -perfect charger for a plug-in. Twenty-five foot cord would make product better, then again, just a bit longer cord would be desired sometime anyway.

Game Changer
From DrKdog of Harrison Twp., Michigan on .
It does charges Cmax Energi from empty to full in 3.5 hours on level 2. The unit is compact as the 120v charger the comes with the Cmax. Very convenient, a receptacle is all that is needed no large box to mount. The Turbo Cord is smaller than it looks in the pictures, I was concerned on the size and weight on a straight blade plug. No more of an concern as you would as any other plug of that type.
Nicely done

This EVSE charger sets the new standard, it's small, simple and works great for most of us.,
From Some Dude25 of Westlake Village, California on .
I recently purchased and had this EVSE charger plugged in and running in minutes (installed I guess). It makes all other charger devices look giant and silly. At my house I was able to re-purpose a dryer outlet to a 6R-20 nema outlet that's the kind that looks like a regular outlet but has a sideways pin, it is 240 volts (2 lines and ground, no neutral is needed). It works very well and the cord is 20' long so it works well in most applications. This charger cord set works great for cars that have just under 4kw chargers in them Chevy Volt, Spark, Some Leafs etc. other cars that have faster chargers will charge at 16 amps or about 3,800 watts. This is fine most of the time and is easier to wire in many homes etc. (it might be a little slower if your building can handle bigger charging gear but then you need a bigger uglier charger that is not nearly as portable as this is. I like that it is crazy compact and has no buttons or things that can be to easily messed up. This is much better than the 120v cord most EV's come with and it is much faster if you have 240v outlets available.
It's tiny and it works great!
From Daniel H... of Thousand Oaks, California on .
If you need a compact EVSE charger cord or any charger interface it is impossible to beat this. It's super small and has a good length of cord for most sites (20'). It does have a limit of 16 amps (just shy of 4,000 watts) but in most applications that's fine. I am pretty sure future chargers will be copying this! I got the dual version in case, but I mostly use 240...
